2. Self-care after your massage
- Sip water throughout the day
- Rest well
- Dynamic Stretching for warm-up with Static Stretching after the exercise
- Heat Pack for chronic pain/tension for 10-15mins daily
- Ice Pack for acute injury or inflammation within 24 hours for 10-15 mins every 1-2 hours
- Foam roller to roll big muscles e.g. lower back and use a tennis ball for small muscles e.g. neck; and use a golf ball to roll feet.
- Relaxing breathing exercise 4-7-8, i.e. 4 seconds breathing-in, 7 seconds – holding breath and 8 seconds breathing-out.
3. Things to avoid after your massage
- Hard physical activities
- Alcohol, caffeine and sugary drink
- Mood swing
